"Anoush of the Seas" Episode 01

The Brain child of Matt Braly, Joe Johnston, Carrie Hobson and I.  Anoush is a girl that travels the oceans in her boat house and encounters a rare creature of humble appearance. This is my initial version of what her adventures may look like.

I WANT YOU poster

So I had another commission from USPRA using the character of Recovery Woman in the style of the famous I WANT YOU FOR U.S ARMY poster with Uncle Sam. ( Illustrator's name is James Montgomery Flagg)

It took some time since I dusted of the ol' watercolors and FAILED so I had to resort to some Photoshopin' and some Illustratorin' but in the end it was fun.

Here is a little bit of the process from start to finish.

By the way, I been looking at some good books of real masters of Illustration like of course Rockwell, and J.C. Leyendecker and some Oliver Hurst to shake things up.

(I hold them close to my nose to see if something great rubs off.)
